How to complain
We hope that most problems can be sorted out quickly and easily, often at the time they happen and with the person concerned.
If your problem cannot be sorted out this way and you would like to make a complaint, please tell us as soon as possible, ideally within a few days or at most a few weeks. This helps us find out what happened more easily. If that is not possible, please send us details of your complaint:
- within 12 months of the incident that caused the problem, or
- within 12 months of discovering that you have a problem
Written complaints should be addressed to the Senior Partner. You can also ask for an appointment with the Senior Partner to discuss your concerns. They will explain the complaints procedure and make sure your concerns are dealt with promptly.
It will help us if you are as specific as possible about what happened.
If you do not want to complain to the surgery
If you do not feel able to raise your complaint with us, you can complain to the commissioner of our services instead. Since 1 July 2023, complaints about GP surgeries in our area have been handled by the South West regional complaints team for NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board (BSW ICB).
